Building of the fence speeds up when you choose a pre-painted fence board. The fence board is then primed on all four sides and surface painted on 3 sides. The primer protects the fence board against bluing and mold, and the topcoat film protects the sun from abrasive UV radiation. The pre-painted fence board also looks immediately finished and the finishing paint consumes less paint. Industrially created indoor painting is high quality, as impurities or bad paint weather cannot affect the quality of the paint surface. If you want to invest in quality, you can choose a 23 mm thick and 170 mm wide pre-painted fence board.

Make sure the water drains down

When building a fence, it is important that the water does not stand on wooden surfaces. Rainwater and melt snow should drain from the poles and fence boards down to the ground. It is advisable to cover the fence with a handrail so that water cannot be absorbed from the upper surfaces of the wood. The durability of the fence is also increased by fixing the fence boards with mountings or screws. The use of notch joints often causes problems when rainwater penetrates from the joints and decomposes the wood quickly. It is always important to paint with plenty of paint all attachment points where the paint surface is broken. Also always use stainless steel screws to secure the fence boards.
